CRPF officer dies in IED blast during anti -Naxal operation in Sundargarh, Odisha

The explosion occurred at around 6 am near Balang village near Rourkela, when a joint team of special operations of CRPF and Odisha Police (SOG) was conducting a search operation in the area.

An Assistant Sub -Inspector (ASI) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) died in the IED blast during an anti -Naxal operation on Saturday morning in Sundargarh district of Odisha. The officers provided this information.

According to officials, ASI Satyaban Kumar Singh (34) of CRPF’s 134th Battalion suffered serious left leg injuries in the blast. He was immediately rushed to a hospital in Rourkela, where he succumbed during treatment.

ASI, who lost his life in the blast, was a resident of Kushinagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The explosion occurred at around 6 am near Balang village near Rourkela, when a joint team of CRPF and Odisha Police’s Special Operations Team (SOG) was running a search operation in the area.
