Overview of Axiom-4 Mission
The Axiaom-4 Mission will symbolize India’s return to space in space 41 years after Rakesh Sharma’s historic space flight through Russia’s Soyuz Mission in 1984. NASA said in a statement, “The crew will travel to a revolving laboratory at the company’s Falcon 9 rocket on the Falcon 9 rocket. The target docking time is around 12:30 pm (IST) at around 12:30 pm (IST), Wednesday, June 11.” During the 14-day stay at the ISS, the X-4 crew is expected to interact with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, school students and leaders of the space industry.
Shubhanshu Shukla is ready to conduct special food and nutritional experiments developed under cooperation between the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) and the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) in collaboration with NASA. Shukla will also expose the seeds in macrobiotic conditions and bring them back to the earth, where they will be grown not only once but for several generations as plants.
ISRO has prepared a series of seven experiments for Shukla, which will also participate in five joint studies employed by NASA for his human research program. Shukla’s experience on the Axiom Mission 4 will be used very well in ISRO’s Gaganyaan Space Flight Mission, which has been planned for 2027. ISRO is spending Rs 550 crore on the Axiom-4 mission.
