President Draupadi Murmu said on Thursday that the death of people in the Ahmedabad plane crash is very shocking. He also expressed his heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
Murmu also expressed grief over the death of former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in this tragedy in a post on social media platform ‘X’. He said, “The loss of life and property in aircraft accident in Ahmedabad is very shocking. My condolences are with bereaved families. The country has also lost former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani ji in this tragedy. Rupani ji was always committed to the welfare of the people. I express my heartfelt condolences to his family and fans.
The President earlier said in another post on ‘X’ that the accident was a heart -wrenching tragedy and the whole country stands with the affected people in this hour of indescribable sorrow.
He said, “This is a heartbreaking disaster. My condolences and prayers are with the affected people. The nation stands with him in the hour of this indescribable grief. ”The Air India flight (AI 171), going to Gatwick in London, crashed shortly after flying from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Ahmedabad at around 1.40 pm. The aircraft had 242 people, including the crew members.
