According to SHO Amandeep Kumar of police station Subhanpur, ASI Sukhwinder Kumar was patrolling the area with his police team. During this time the team stopped and investigated a young man on the basis of suspicious activities. During interrogation, the accused revealed his identity as Serbjit Singh alias Lichu, a resident of the village boot.
When the police searched the accused, 50 grams of heroin was recovered from him. Taking immediate action, the police have registered a case under the NDPS Act against the accused. At present, the police is questioning the accused and the case is being investigated intense.
