Tarun Mansukhani’s Housefull 5 is continuing its lead at the box office. The film has reached close to its second weekend on the big screen. According to industry tracker Caikanilk, the film’s Indian NET collection has increased to Rs 127 crore in just 7 days, while the film starring Akshay Kumar globally has crossed the Rs 200 crore mark. This is almost three times the earnings of Akshay Kumar’s court room drama Kesari 2. Starring Akshay, R Madhavan and Ananya Pandey, the film earned only Rs 46 crore during the first 7 -day theater run and interestingly, Housefull 5 has already overtaken the film in India in terms of its net collection.
The year 2025 has been good for Akshay Kumar so far. In the first six months of the year, three films of Khiladi Kumar reached theaters. Starting with Sky Force, Akshay Kumar’s action drama was released in January. Later, his historic drama Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh was released in theaters. Now, this is his comic caper houseful 5 that is entertaining people. Of the three, Housefull 5 has earned huge at the box office. Akshay Kumar has broken his own record as his film Housefull 5 has surpassed the Sky Force figures.
According to reports, Akshay Kumar’s Housefull 5 has earned around Rs 127.25 crore in the first seven days. The film performed brilliantly in the first weekend and continued well in the weekedes. In the first week, it touched a mark of Rs 127.25 crore and beat the sky force. The lifetime collection of Sky Force is Rs 112.75 crore. After four weeks, the film was successful in crossing the Rs 100 crore mark and its lifetime collection increased to Rs 112 crore. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar’s film Kesari 2 earned a little less than Rs 100 crore in his box office run.
With the successful run of Housefull 5, Akshay Kumar’s film has become the third highest grossing film of 2025. Vicky Kaushal’s periodic drama Chawa is currently the highest grossing film of 2025. It crossed the Rs 500 crore mark in its lifetime box office run. According to reports, the film has earned around Rs 587.7 crore. The second highest -grossing film of 2025 is Ajay Devgan’s film Red 2. The film earned around Rs 171 crore at the box office. Salman Khan’s Alexander, Rajkumar Rao’s mistake, apologized and other big films failed to earn too much at the box office.
It remains to be seen whether the Housefull can touch the Rs 500 crore mark or not. The film is made on a very big budget, which has not yet been compensated at the box office. The film also stars Ritesh Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Nana Patekar, Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt and others in the lead roles.
