Popular YouTuber Manish Kashyap has officially resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), announcing his decision during the Facebook Live session. In an emotional address, Kashyap announced that he is no longer an active member of the party. Last month, Manish Kashyap was allegedly beaten up by some junior doctors at Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH).

Explaining his reasons for leaving the party, he said, “I could not protect myself while in BJP. How can I help others?” Kashyap indicated to feel disappointed by the party and suggested that his role within the party has become ineffective.
Kashyap officially joined the BJP on April 25, 2024 amidst speculation about his political ambitions. However, their association with the party seems to be short -lived.

YouTuber said, “I want to fight for Bihar and Biharis. I think I will not be able to raise the voice of the people effectively by staying in the party. So I have decided this.” During the live session, Kashyap sought suggestions from his followers from where he should contest the upcoming election.
What happened after the PMCH incident?
The decision came only a few days after the alleged incident at the PMCH Hospital in Patna, where Kashyap was allegedly attacked by doctors. After this incident, he expressed disappointment over the BJP not supporting him, a complaint that he had been expressing publicly for the last few days.
Kashyap’s sudden exit from BJP brings a new turn in the political plot developing in Bihar, especially in view of the 2025 state elections and the 2026 Lok Sabha elections. Their next step, especially that they will contest independently or will join any other party, it remains to be seen.
