Piyush Chawla has been a part of the two World Cup winner team. In 2007, when Dhoni won the T20 World Cup title for the first time, he was part of the Indian team while he was also part of Team India in the 2011 ODI World Cup. He was a part of Team India both times, but he could not get a chance to play.
Piyush Chawla made a Test debut against England in Mohali on 9 March 2006, while his debut in ODIs was made against Bangladesh on 12 May 2007. He had to wait a little for his debut in T20 but on May 2, 2010, he was successful in porching the shortest format of cricket against South Africa.
