DK Shivkumar welcomed RCB team at HAL airport

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivkumar welcomed the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team on Wednesday, which has reached the city a day after winning the first IPL title, ending the 18 -year wait. As soon as the team reached HAL airport, Shivkumar warmly welcomed the players with the bouquet.

In the video, Shivkumar was welcomed by Virat Kohli, giving him a yellow and red Kannada flag and RCB flag. The team then left for a private hotel amid tight security, while a large number of fans gathered to encourage the players along the roads.

RCB won its first title with a six -run win over Punjab Kings in the IPL final in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. RCB has been runner -up three times before.

The Karnataka government will organize a grand honor ceremony for RCB today. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will honor the team led by Rajat Patidar at the Vidhan Saudh campus here.

The Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) will hold a special honor ceremony at the Chinnaswamy Stadium to honor the achievement and performance of the team. According to the traffic counseling issued by the Bengaluru Police, only valid tickets and nearby people will be allowed to enter the program to be held at Chinnaswamy Stadium.
