When Gurmel Kaur, wife of the deceased Gurjant Singh, returned from abroad, his brother-in-law Indrajit Singh abused her and threw her out of the house. The police have registered a case against the three accused on the complaint of the deceased’s brother -in -law Baljit Singh.

Did not share on coming to India from Canada

Complainant Baljit Singh told the police that his aunt’s daughter Gurmel Kaur was married to Gurjant Singh. In November 2024, Gurjant came to India from Canada and started building buildings on his ancestral land. Meanwhile, Indrajit Singh captured the land of his share.

Plot and shop locks also broke

After Gurjant’s death in February 2025, when Gurmel Kaur reached the village, Indrajit Singh did not allow him to enter his property. Not only this, they also broke the plots and shop locks.

According to investigating officer ASI Harpreet Singh, the police have registered a case of attempts and abuses to capture Inderjit Singh, his father Gurdiyal Singh and daughter Amandeep Kaur.
