Officials said that after receiving a bomb threat in IndiGo flight (6E 921) from Ahmedabad to Patna, a widespread search operation was carried out in the plane after the aircraft landed at Jayaprakash Narayan International (JPNI) Airport in Patna at around 1 pm on Wednesday. About 40 minutes after the aircraft landed, all 192 passengers on the aircraft were safely taken out and parked at the isolation bay of Patna Airport.
The aircraft was later taken to Bay number 1, where the passengers were allowed to land. After receiving information about the incident, the aircraft was parked at the isolation bay of the airport for a thorough security check and all the 192 passengers on the aircraft were safely evacuated.
Significantly, the threat of the bomb was sent through WhatsApp message after the aircraft landed on the cellphone of Indigo Station Manager Shalini. According to the message sent to Air Traffic Control (ATC), the message had a ‘bomb’ written on the napkin tissue, which immediately alerted the CISF.

Airport officials, security, district administration and police held a meeting to review the bomb threats and after informing the administration and police by the Airports Authority of India (AAI), investigation is being done under the standard operation process in such cases.

On Sunday, an unknown collar said that a bomb was placed at the busy station, causing panic and immediate action was taken by the Jammu Police and the Railway Police. Security forces conducted extensive search with search dogs and metal detectors, but nothing was found suspicious.
