The description of the meeting states as the agenda to change/change the designation from the Vice Chancellor to the signing of degree certificates and other academic documents. Action will be taken on the instructions by the Controller of Examinations.

The purpose of this change is to make the post of Vice Chancellor more gender-plate. This information was shared during the meeting of the work council, this step of the university is in line with the similar changes already implemented by the Governments of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Rajasthan passed an amendment in February 2025 to adopt the Vice Chancellor and Vice Chancellor in place of Vice Chancellor and Vice Chancellor, which was approved in March. Madhya Pradesh followed this in July 2024. JNUSU President Nitish Kumar said that the university should also consider making toilets and hostels to be gender-plated.

Along with converting the Vice Chancellor into Kulguru, the Vice Chancellor should also fulfill the demand for linga-plate toilets and gender-plate hostels. In addition, JNUEE should be restored for PhD entry and deprive points should be brought back. The leftist leader said in a post on X, proceed with symbolic gestures and work towards solid gender justice.
