Bihar Election: AIMIM, eager to join the grand alliance, is being done on this plan of Owaisi

Bihar has elections this year. All political parties are trying to help their own equations. At the same time, after keeping distance from the opposition party India, Asaduddin Owaisi-led All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) is eager to join the RJD-led grand alliance in Bihar for the state assembly elections. Apart from RJD led by Lalu Prasad and Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, the Congress and Left parties are involved in the opposition Grand Alliance.

AIMIM leaders in Bihar are in touch with RJD leaders. A national spokesperson of AIMIM said that we are interested in forming an alliance with the Grand Alliance. We are very positive about this. Our ideology is to defeat the BJP and empower Bihar. Our fight with BJP is like Congress. We want AIMIM to be included in the Grand Alliance. AIMIM is excited by its performance in the 2020 state assembly elections, when it formed a third front with BSP and Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP).
The AIMIM then created a sensation by contesting five seats in 20 seats. The party got 14.28% votes in these 20 seats. The BSP could win only one seat by contesting 78 seats, while RLSP failed to open its account despite contesting 99 seats. AIMIM had caused major damage to the RJD in Seemanchal and the Grand Alliance was missed to form a government. At the same time, Asaduddin Owaisi has started his party’s election campaign from the Muslim -dominated Seemanchal region of Bihar.

AIMIM’s last attempt had failed to join the grand alliance due to RJD’s opposition during the Lok Sabha elections. Questioning this incompatibility, Adil said: “If the Grand Alliance can withdraw the Developing Human Party, which was with the NDA in 2020, then why not AIMIM?” Akhtarul Iman, president of the Bihar unit of AIMIM, said that he has expressed the interest of alliance through MPs and MLAs. He said, “No party can compete with the BJP-JD (U) alliance alone. Equal ideology forces should come together. BJP uses communal statements, but many opposition parties use Muslims only as vote banks. Owaisi stands against both.”
