Apart from DGMO, there is no conversation between Indo-Pak, Jaishankar rejected the allegations of Congress

Addressing the ongoing controversy over India’s Operation Sindoor on Monday, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar denied the allegations of the Congress party that he had informed Pakistan before the military attacks. During a meeting of the Advisory Committee in Parliament, Jaishankar described the allegations as “dishonest” and “wrong depiction of events”, while clarified on the major issues raised by MPs, including concerns related to the details related to the United States, Indus Water Treaty and Operation Sindoor.

According to sources present in the meeting, Jaishankar emphasized that India’s military action has successfully affected Pakistan’s morale by targeting the terrorist structure in a accurate manner. Responding to the questions of MPs, he also clarified that after the operation was completed, India’s Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) informed Pakistan’s DGMO about action, not before the action began, as the opposition had falsely said.

The dispute began when Congress leader Rahul Gandhi accused Jaishankar of publicly admitting that India had already informed Pakistan about the operation. Gandhi expressed concern about the possible damage to sharing such sensitive information, he questioned how many Indian Air Force aircraft were lost due to this communication. Gandhi also cited a video clip in which Jaishankar allegedly stated that at the beginning of the operation we sent a message to Pakistan, stating, ‘We are attacking the terrorist structure and we are not attacking the army. The army has the option to not interfere in this process and stand out.
