Relationships based on each other’s concerns …. India’s message to Pakistan’s ‘friend’ Turkey

India said on Thursday that it hopes that Türkiye would ‘firm urge’ to stop supporting terrorism from Pakistan and to take action against the terrorist system. Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said that we hope that Turkey would strongly urge Pakistan to stop its support and take reliable and verified action against the terrorist system that has been thriving here for decades. Relationships are formed based on sensitivity to each other’s concerns.

Randhir Jaiswal said that the Celi case has been discussed with the Turkish Embassy here. But I think this special decision was taken by civil aviation security. The comment has come amidst stressful relations between India and Turkey, which began with Turkey condemning the attacks of India on terrorist camps in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir. Pakistan also used Turkish drones on a large scale during military conflict with India.
On taking credit for ending the enmity between India and Pakistan by President Donald Trump, Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said that in his previous briefing, I had addressed the issue. I have nothing else to say. You are well aware of our situation that any connection between India and Pakistan should be bilateral. Also, I would like to remind you that conversations and terrorism cannot walk together. In the case of terrorism, we are ready to discuss handing over the infamous terrorists to India whose list was given to Pakistan a few years ago.

He said that I would like to emphasize that any bilateral discussion on Jammu and Kashmir would only be held on vacating the illegally occupied Indian territory by Pakistan. On the Indus Water Treaty, it will remain postponed until Pakistan relinquish its support for cross -border terrorism. As our Prime Minister said, “Water and blood cannot flow together.”
