Punjab and Haryana High Court threatened to bomb, Ambala’s DC office also threatened

There was chaos in Ambala’s Deputy Commissioner (DC) office when an e-mail was received on the DC’s official ID. The security agencies immediately became alert. RPF Inspector Ravindra Singh said that the DC office has found a bomb threatening mail. The Government Railway Police and Railway Protection Force have started a search operation at the station. After the search, it was found that the threat was just a rumor. DC Ajay Tomar said that in the morning there was a mail on the government ID that RDX based IED has been kept in the campus, but prima facie it seemed to be a rumor. “Police teams started a search operation with bomb disposal squad and other teams before the office opened. It proved to be a rumor after the police’s green signal.

Earlier, Fatehabad and Faridabad also received a similar threatening mail, but they too came out. At the same time, the Punjab and Haryana High Court received an e-mail of threats to place bombs on Thursday, after which the Chandigarh police started a search of the court premises. The officers provided this information. Officials said that most parts of the court premises have been evacuated and currently the entry of common people has been banned there.

 

Udaypal Singh, Deputy Departmental Police Officer (SDPO-Central) of Chandigarh Police, said, “The High Court Registrar Office received an e-mail claiming that an IED has been installed in the campus. On receiving the information, the police started a thorough search. ”Officials said that the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Ambala on Wednesday was also evacuated for some time after threatening to place bombs. This threat later a rumor came out.
