IMD expressed rain warning in many states, possibility of heavy rain

Many states of India will receive rain on Thursday and Friday, due to which people can get relief from the outbreak of scorching heat. The Indian Meteorological Department has issued a warning of rain from Thursday morning to Friday morning, which is for many different states. Heavy rains have been warned in the coastal region of the Ganges of West Bengal, Konkan, Goa, Andhra Pradesh and North Eastern India.
 
According to the Meteorological Department, 10 cm of rainfall was recorded in Ganga West Bengal, Haldia (Eastern Medinipur), followed by 9 cm of rainfall in Diamond Harbor (South 24 Pargana). Kolkata’s Dum Dum and Alipur stations (North 24 Parganas and Kolkata) recorded 4-4 cm of rain, while Digha (North 24 Pargana) recorded 2 cm of rain.
 
Konkan and Goa also received rainfall, Panjim (northern Goa), 9 cm, and 3-3 cm of rainfall in both Mumbai (Santa Cruz) and Ratnagiri (Ratnagiri). In coastal Andhra Pradesh, Amravati (Guntur) recorded 9 cm, while Machilipatnam and Visakhapatnam (Krishna and Visakhapatnam) recorded 5 cm of rain. Nellore (Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore) recorded 4 cm, and Vijayawada-Ganavaram and Bapatla (Krishna and Bapatla) 2 cm rainfall.
 
3 cm in Jharsuguda in Odisha and 2 in Paradip port (Jagatsinghpur)Semi rainfall was recorded. Mangalore (Bajpes, Dakshin Kannada) in coastal Karnataka recorded 3 cm of rain, while Gorakhpur (Gorakhpur) in eastern Uttar Pradesh and Kalaburagi (Kalaburagi) in northern interior Karnataka were recorded 2 cm each. Chandigarh in Haryana and Itanagar (Papum Pare) in Arunachal Pradesh recorded 2-2 cm of rain. In Kerala and Mahe, Kannanore (Kannur) recorded rainfall, although specific figures were not explained in detail in the summary.
 
In Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Kailashahar (Unakoti) recorded 8 cm and 2 cm in Agartala (West Tripura). Dhubri (Dhubri) in Assam and Meghalaya recorded 7 cm, Cherrapunji (Eastern Khasi Hills) 3 cm and Shillong (Eastern Khasi Hills) recorded rain. Sri Vijayapuram (South Andaman) of Andaman and Nicobar Islands recorded 5 cm of rain. Aurangabad (Chiklathana, Aurangabad) in Marathawada recorded 4 cm of rain, while Hyderabad and Ramgundam (Hyderabad and Pedapalli) of Telangana recorded 4 cm of rain. Solapur (Solapur) in Central Maharashtra and Nagpur (Sonegaon Airport, Nagpur) in Vidarbha recorded 4 cm and 3 cm of rain respectively. IMD has projected heavy to very heavy rainfall over Konkan and parts of the west coast including Goa, Karnataka and Kerala over the next few days.
