Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said on Wednesday that a big recruitment campaign will be conducted in the jail department and about 1,300 posts of jail warders will be filled soon. He said that in addition, along with filling the vacant posts of medical and paramedical in the jail department, the necessary employees will also be appointed for the newly constructed Jail Training Academy in Karnal.
The Chief Minister made these announcements after inaugurating the academy in Karnal. Saini also announced that new jails will be constructed in Panchkula, Dadri and Fatehabad at a cost of about Rs 300 crore.
Apart from this, a cowshed will also be started in the Karnal District Jail Complex. He said that the new jail training is the beginning of a transformational approach in the academy reform system.
He said, this is not just the inauguration of a building, it is a change in the approach, the beginning of a new vision. Our gels should not only be the center of punishment, but should become the center of change, revival and reconstruction.
According to an official statement, the academy is spread over 6.5 acres and is constructed at a cost of Rs 30.29 crore. On this occasion, Cooperative and Jail Minister Arvind Sharma appreciated the progressive initiative being taken by the jail department.
