Sheikh Mujib ur Rehman’s biopic Mujib: Bangladeshi actress Nusrat Faria, who plays Sheikh Hasina in The Making of a Nation, was arrested from the airport on Sunday evening. The actress’s name has come up in the case of an attempt to murder.
According to the Dhaka Tribunal report, Nusrat is arrested from Hazrat Shahzal International Airport in Dhaka. He was taken to the water police station, after which he has been handed over to the Detective Branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
Nusrat Faria was about to leave for Thailand from Dhaka, when she was stopped at the airport’s immigration check point and then informed the police. Arrest warrant has been going on for a long time against the actress.
The actress has been arrested for his involvement in an attempt to kill a man during a protest against the government in Bangladesh.
During the protests in Bangladesh last year, an attempt was made to kill a student in Vatara area. In this case, a complaint has been filed against 17 including Nusrat Faria in 2024.
Let me tell you that this case is about when there was a strong opposition against Sheikh Hasina in Bangladesh. The violence was so enraged that he had to leave Bangladesh and flee to save his life. Violence was further enraged as soon as he left the country and the protesters entered his house and looted all the belongings.
Talking about Nusrat Faria’s film career, the actress was seen in the biopic of Bangladesh, the first President of Bangladesh, released in 2023. He played Sheikh Hasina in the film. It was made in co-production of India-Bangladesh, directed by Shyam Benegal.
