Mayor Nicusore Dan of Bukharest has won in the presidential elections held in Romania. He defeated pro -Trump leader George Simian in a tough match. After the counting of all the votes, Dan received 54.17% of the votes, while his opposing candidate Simian got 45.83% votes.
This victory is also special because in two weeks ago, Simian got more than Dan (40.96%) while Dan got only 20.99% of the votes. Dan made a great comeback in the final round.
Earlier, the results of the 2024 presidential election were canceled due to Russia’s interference and allegations of disturbances. After this elections were held again. Simian was seen to have an edge in pre -polling surveys, but Dan’s return in the final stages overturned the match.

No candidate got a majority in Poland in the first round of the presidential election on Sunday. Warsaw’s liberal mayor Rafal Trajasaskowski has the highest 31.2% of the votes. At the same time, his main rival and nationalist historian Karol Navaroki got 29.7% votes.
