Prime Minister Narendra Modi held delegation level talks with Philippines President Ferdinand Romaldez Marcos Jr. After which Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that today is a historic day for our bilateral relations. We are taking India-Filippines relations to a strategic partnership level. This will give new speed and depth to our relations and strengthen our relations in the defense and security sector. In the last few years, our relations have progressed in all fields. We welcome the decision of the Philippines to give visa-free admission to Indian tourists. India has also decided to provide free e-visa facility to the tourists of the Philippines. This year, work will be done to start a direct flight between Delhi and Manila.
