8 people drowned in a well in Khandwa. So far, the bodies of 6 have been removed. Police, administration and SDERF teams are engaged in rescue operation on the spot.

This incident is from Kondawat village in Chhagaonmakhan area of the district on Thursday evening. It is being told that 8 people of the village landed in the well to clean the well for Gangaur immersion.
It is feared that due to dirt, they suffocated due to the formation of poisonous gas in the well and they lost their lives.
SDERF team engaged in rescue operation It is being told that 8 people landed in the well in the afternoon, who did not go out till evening. After which the villagers started rescue work at their level. Also informed the police and administration.
On receiving the information of the incident, along with the police and administration team, a 15 -member team of SDERF also reached the spot. The rescue team took a rope and a fake and landed in the well and took out the bodies.
Poisoned with poisonous gas According to preliminary information, a drain comes out on the banks of the well for the cleaning of the well, through this drain, the dirty water of the village goes into the well. Due to which the well has turned into a marshes. The villagers landed in the well for cleaning this swamp. It is feared that the dirt formed poisonous gas in the well, which caused these people to suffocate.
