Strict action is being taken by Faridkot District Police in Punjab in cases of organized crime under the leadership of SSP Dr. Pragya Jain. Under this, the police arrested 8 accused associated with two gangs preparing to loot in two separate cases.

Police arrived while planning

Police said that in the first case, CIA Staff Faridkot’s police took action on the basis of information and arrested 4 members of a gang planning to commit a robbery by sitting under the overbridge under Faridkot Road in Kotkapura city. These accused were identified as Harjinder Singh Harry of Kotkapura, Ramandeep Singh Ramna, Surinder Singh Sherry and Rahul.

The police have recovered 2 saber, 1 khanda and 1 baseball from these accused.

In the second case, the police station Jaito police arrested four members of a gang planning a robbery near Rajbahe bridge on Dabdhana Road. These accused were identified as Gagandeep Singh Gaggu of Jaito, Sahil alias Katta, Manpreet Singh Mani of village Rodipura and Khushwinder Singh Gary of village Karir Wali. From whom the police have recovered a garri pipe, saber and 2 segments. All of them have 9 cases registered earlier.

228 accused arrested in 47 cases in 8 months

DSP Sukhdeep Singh said that a total of 9 criminal cases are already registered against these 8 accused arrested and now they will be questioned on remand from the court. He said that Faridkot District Police has arrested 228 accused in 47 cases of organized crime during the last 8 months.
