The Punjab government on Monday announced a big gift for Jalalabad assembly constituency. In Jalalabad, the way for the construction of bypass in the name of martyr Udham Singh has been paved. MLA Jagdeep Kamboj Goldie during the Question Hour in the assembly budget session

Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO told the assembly that the bypass of Jalalabad will be built from Ferozepur-Fazilka Road. The bypass will start from the buggy of the bugge and be built along the canal as well as the rich. Its length will be 8.75 km and width will be 18 feet. In this regard, the government has also issued administrative approval of Rs 13 crore 28 lakh 70 thousand.

Road demand was for a long time

MLA Jagdeep Kamboj Goldie said that this road was being demanded for a long time, but the big leaders of the previous governments kept taking votes from this area, but they did not pay attention to the real issues of development and the last big leaders could not get the bypass constructed.

Road will be built in the name of martyr Udham Singh

He further explained that this road will be built in the name of great martyr Udham Singh. With the construction of this road, there will be a permanent solution to the traffic problem of Jalalabad and people will also feel less time to travel from Fazilka to Ferozepur.

MLA Jagdeep Kamboj Goldi thanked Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann and Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO for approving this road. He also demanded in the House that the statue of Shaheed Udham Singh should also be installed on this new road. The Public Works Minister immediately accepted this demand.
