18 people died in Delhi railway station stampede.

The details of those who lost their lives in the New Delhi railway station stampede have not yet been updated on the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund Portal (PMNRF). The incident took place on the night of 15 February, which has passed for more than 50 days.

On Tuesday, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said – 25 February and 3 March, even after giving reminders twice, the Commercial Department of Northern Railway has not updated the death and details of the injured on PMNRF.

The PMO had asked the Railway Ministry to update the details on the portal, so that the approved grace from PMNRF could be given to the families of the victims. The Center is giving an ex -gratia amount of ₹ 10 lakh to the families of the deceased.

On 15 February, there was a stampede at New Delhi railway station. 18 people died in this. A report by RPF reported that the accident occurred due to the announcement of changing the platform of the Kumbh Special train going to Prayagraj.

Cash was given on 16 February

16 FOn the morning of Ravari, the family members of those killed in the stampede reached the hospital to take their bodies. During that time the victims were given cash. It had 100 and 500 notes. The officials had asked the family to take the body immediately. At the same time, security personnel were also deployed so that it could be decided that the bodies and cash should reach the safe house.

2600 general tickets were sold two hours before the incident. Investigation of the Gadad was revealed that every hour of 1500 general tickets were sold by the Railways at New Delhi station. The report also stated that the deployment of Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel was not balanced, which led to difficulties in controlling the crowd and the situation deteriorated. Railways had sold 2600 general tickets in an hour till two hours before the incident (on 15 February). Usually 7 thousand tickets were sold throughout the day, but 9600 tickets were sold on this day.
