46 people in custody so far in UP Board paper leak case, main accused also caught


ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar on the issue of Intermediate paper leak in UP Board has said that on March 30, Intermediate exam papers were leaked, taking action in it, 46 people have been detained so far. Today the main person has been arrested.

He said that today a total of 8 people are being sent to jail from Nagra police station and 3 people from Sikandarpur police station, it has been proved in the investigation. The question papers were removed from the packet by tampering by these people, then it was solved and put back. The question paper was also sold outside.

After the leak of the English paper in the intermediate examination of the UP Board, the English examination had to be postponed in 24 districts. Taking action, UP Police and STF started arrests. The process of interrogation is going on by taking people into custody.

Vinay Kumar Pandey, education director and chairman of the Board of Secondary Education, had told in an order that due to the possibility of leak of question paper of 316Ed and 316EI series of Intermediate English subject in the second shift on March 30 in Ballia. After the distribution of the above series question papers in 24 districts, it was decided to cancel the second shift examination at all the examination centers of these districts.

In July 2017, the paper of UPPCL was leaked in the Inspectorate Recruitment Exam, February 2018. At the same time, the Subordinate Services Selection Board was leaked in July 2018, Tubewell Driver in September 2018, PET exam in August 2021 and UPTET paper in November 2021.
