The Central Investigation Agency (DRI) (Directorate of Revenue Intelligence) has exposed the racket of smuggling expensive and new iPhone mobiles in the name of cheap mobile phones. During the operation, the authorities seized mobile phones worth about Rs 42.86 crore from these persons. The number of iPhone 13 Pro in this seizure is about 2245.

Disclosing this here today, a DRI official said that the mobile consignment was imported from Hong Kong for sale in India. The accused had brought him from Hong Kong to Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport. It was later sold in various markets across the country. “Looking at them, no one can tell which phone is genuine and which is fake,” he said.
