The arrested accused have been identified as Amrit resident village Partapura Phillaur, Omkar Singh alias Golu resident village Pandwa Kapurthala, Prince resident village Pandwa Kapurthala and Gurpreet Singh alias Guri resident Satnampura Phagwara. Police have recovered 32 bore 2 pistols, magazines and 20 cartridges and Maruti Ertiga cars from the accused. The accused fled from this car.

DGP Gaurav Yadav said that preliminary investigation has revealed that these accused were working on the instructions of their handlers sitting abroad and were given the responsibility of target killing in Punjab. Many criminal cases including murder, attempt to murder, Arms Act have been registered against all the accused arrested. At the same time, the police is engaged in finding the history of the accused.
Life was lost in a minor argument
Three-four attackers were shot dead after a minor argument at around 10.45 pm on 31 January at Kharar’s Shivjot Enclave market. Gurpreet Singh Bathinda was killed.
