30 trained dogs will soon be included in Bihar Police’s Dog Skyd

Bihar Police Dog (Dog) Skok is going to include 30 specially trained dogs soon. Currently, all these are being trained in IITA (Integrated Intelligence Training Academy) in Moinabad, Hyderabad. This information was given by ADG (CID) Parasnath in a press conference held at the auditorium at Sardar Patel Bhavan on Wednesday. He said that in the coming two to three months, all the trained dogs will join the fleet of Bihar Police Dog Skyd. At present, there are 67 dogs in this fleet. Their number will be 97 after the new dogs are involved.

The ADG said that the number of approved posts of dogs in Dogs Skyd is 200. But only 67 are still deployed. By the end of this year, their number will increase to 97. Apart from this, the process of purchasing 50 new dogs is still going on. They are being purchased from Home Guard Training Institutes in Punjab. All the process of procurement will be completed in two to three months. After this, they will be included in Dog Skyd after training at the institute in Moinabad. This will increase the total number of dogs in the police fleet to 147.

Mr. Parasnath said that 67 dogs are employed in the police squad, with the number of explosives identifying 19, trekker 21, 21 alcohol identified and the number of drugs of drugs is 6. It is employed by various breeds, including 55 Labrador, 2 Golden Retriers, 6 Belgian Melinois and 4 German Saford. Their deployment has been kept at various police range headquarters. The use of these dogs is used to research the venue of the VVIP program, in addition to research of events, discovery of drug explosive substances. These days, the use of these trained dogs in catching illegal liquor has increased considerably. In view of increasing use of dogs day by day, continuous efforts are being made to increase their number. IG (CID) Daljit Singh and others were present during this press conference.
