30 people died due to boat drown in northwest Congo

At least 30 passengers, including several students, were killed when a boat drowned due to bad weather in the northwest equator province of the Central African country of Congo. Local people and media gave this information on Thursday. Many people are still missing, whose search is on.

Regional Administrator Justin Maputu told the local media that the boat was carrying villagers and luggage along the Tumba Lake in Bikoro area, when it drowned late Wednesday night. He said that 30 bodies have been recovered, while many others are missing.
