Voting for the Sangrur Lok Sabha seat continues. Voting will take place till 6 pm today. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann demanded from the Election Commission to extend the polling time by one hour.
He said that due to paddy season many people have gone for daily wage or other activities. Therefore, the voting time should be extended from 6 pm to 7 pm so that they too can exercise their voting right as per the constitution framed by Baba Bhim Rao Ambedkar.
It may be recalled that 29 per cent voting took place in Sangrur till 3 pm. Malerkotla recorded the highest number of 33.45 votes. There is a distance of 30.4 percent in Sunam 29 per cent in Dirba, 29.56 per cent in Lehra, 28 per cent in Bhadaur The turnout was 27.78 per cent, 27.23 per cent in Barnala, 28 per cent in Mahil Kalan, 3.46 per cent in Malerkotla and 28 per cent in Sangrur.
Barnala MLA and Education Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hair cast his vote. He said that every resident of Sangrur should be aware and vote for progress, development and bright future.

Let’s say that CM. Bhagwant Mann had left the Sangrur constituency. The Sangrur Lok Sabha by-election is a tough challenge for the Aam Aadmi Party, which came to power in Punjab with a landslide victory almost three months ago.
