Delhi Police has arrested 25 people from Bangladesh living illegally in India, out of which 23 were caught from Kanpur countryside in Uttar Pradesh. An official gave this information on Thursday.
According to the police, there are five minors and 10 women among those caught. He said that all these people were living in India for the last eight years without any legal permission or residential documents.
The police campaigned in Delhi on the basis of intelligence information, after which two Bangladeshi people were caught. He was identified as Hasan Sheikh (35) and Abdul Sheikh (37) and both are residents of Satkhira district of Bangladesh.
A senior police officer said, during interrogation, he said that many of his relatives and colleagues are living in Kanpur countryside. The police team took quick action and caught 23 more Bangladeshi citizens after raiding there.
