Recruitment in PSPCL: The state government led by Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is continuously providing employment to the youth of the state and the electricity department will soon issue appointment letters to the eligible youth on 2424 vacancies.
Giving information about this, Punjab Power Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO said that the recruitment process against 2424 Group A, B and C posts in PSPCL has been completed and the eligible candidates will be provided government jobs in the near future.
He said that government jobs have been provided to 1397 youths in the electricity department during the last one year. The Cabinet Minister gave details about the new 2424 posts and said that in them 02 Assistant Manager (IT, Group A), 36 Junior Engineer (Group B) and 2386 Assistant Lineman, LDC, Clerk (Group B) etc., to whom appointment letters will be issued soon.

The Minister of Electricity, giving information about the government jobs provided during the last year, said that so far 26 Assistant Engineer (Electrical), 05 Assistant Manager (IT), 85 Junior Engineer (Electrical), 59 Junior Engineer (Sub-station), 14 Junior Engineer (Civil), 294 ASSA, 08 Electricity (Grade-II), 08 Assistant Lineman, 03 Superintendent (Divisional Accounts), 25 Revenue Accountant, 677 LDC/Clerk, 60 Attendants /Chowkidars (Compassionate Basis) 38 LDCs (Compassionate Basis) and 95 RTM etc. have been recruited.
Harbhajan Singh ETO further informed that government jobs have been provided to around 27 thousand eligible youth of the state during the last one year. He said that these jobs have been provided on the basis of merit and pure merit.
