On Saturday, under the “War Drunk Dey” campaign of the Punjab government, the Commissionerate and the Country Police took action on drug addicts under the Kaso operation. During this time, suspected vehicles were also seized. During this time, FIRs were registered in 14 police stations and nine in the countryside. 24 drug traffickers were arrested. ADGP Ram Singh, DIG Naveen Singla, SSP Countryside Gurmeet Singh also took to the field with the team.
SSP Gurmeet Singh said that under this operation special teams were formed and raided on the locations of drug traffickers. Drug smugglers and suspects were arrested. Suspected vehicles were investigated and took action against those who violated the rules in the area and seized the vehicles by the police.
The SSP said that action would continue against drug smugglers. ADGP and CP and SSP landed with the team in the field for checking during the Kaso operation. During the checking, police personnel were also interrogated by the police personnel from the bike riders.
