Honda Activa125 in India on Tuesday launched Went. The scooter is offered in four variants – Disc, Drum, Drum Alloy and an all-new H-Smart. The base (drum) variant of the scooter costs Rs 78,920 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Whereas, the price of drum alloy and disc variants is Rs 82,588 (ex-showroom, Delhi) and Rs 86,093 (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. The premium H-Smart variant has been priced at Rs 88,093 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
2023 Activa125 color options include Pearl Night Star Black, Heavy Gray Metallic (not available in Drum variant), Rebel Red Metallic, Pearl Precious White and Midnight Blue Metallic.
Talking about the specifications, the scooter comes with an OBD2 compliant 125cc PGM-FI engine, which is equipped with Enhanced Smart Power (eSP). Honda says that the eSP technology optimizes energy output by increasing efficient combustion and reducing friction with silent start and smooth eco-friendly engine. This engine has been claimed to generate 8.1 bhp at 6,500rpm and 10.3Nm of torque at 5,000rpm.
Many advanced features have been added to the scooter, in which the first and the biggest feature is the Honda Smart Key of Activa125, which can lock and unlock the scooter without putting it in the scooter. Additionally, pressing a specific button on the smart key causes all the four indicators of the scooter to flash. It also gets a smart start feature, which automatically starts the scooter without taking out the key. For this, the smart key needs to be within 2 meters of the scooter.
The 2023 Activa125 gets a mapped smart ECU, which works as a security device by matching the IED between the ECU and the smart key, which will make the scooter less prone to theft. This smart key has an immobilizer system which prevents the non-registered key from starting the engine. Lock/unlock, ignition off/on, fuel lid open and seat open can be done without the physical key in the H-Smart variant.
