19 -year -old youth arrested in ‘Hit and Run’ case in Delhi, motorcycle seized

A 19 -year -old youth has been arrested for hitting a pedestrian in the ‘Hit and Run’ case in Paharganj, Central Delhi. This information was given by an official on Monday.

The officer said the incident took place on Sadar police station road on 25 September, when the accused Vishnu, a resident of Nabi Karim, hit a pedestrian while driving a motorcycle.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) Nidhin Valson said that the injured were taken to Lady Harding Hospital in critical condition. “No eyewitness was found in the scene or hospital, after which a case was registered at Paharganj police station under the sections of Indian Justice Code,” the official said. A team was formed and CCTV footage was investigated.

On the basis of secret information, the police found an unclaimed motorcycle in Nabi Karim, which was identified as a collision vehicle. The DCP said, “The bike owner said that Vishnu was using it, which has been caught.” During interrogation, he told the police that the victim suddenly came in front of his vehicle, after which he lost control and hit him. He ran away from the spot due to fear. ”The police seized the motorcycle.
