18 crore saplings to be planted in Telangana under Van Mahotsav 2025: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy

Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy said on Monday that the Telangana government has set a target of planting 18 crore saplings under Van Mahotsav 2025. Addressing the people present on the occasion of the program of Van Mahotsav 2025 at Professor Jaishankar Telangana Agricultural University, Reddy recalled Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Name of a tree mother’ and urged people to plant saplings in the name of their children.

According to the official release, Reddy said, “If we take care of nature, nature will protect us.” He said that if people raise trees like their children, then Telangana can become a completely green area.

Reddy said that the public government is committed to empower women. He assured that 60 tickets will be given by the party to women in the upcoming assembly elections, so that concrete steps can be taken towards implementing the reservation of women in the legislatures.

He said that he will ensure that 60 tickets are given to women from the party in the next assembly elections. Listing various women-focused initiatives, Reddy highlighted schemes such as setting up solar power plants, starting government schools for girls and providing loans of Rs 21,000 crore to women groups this year.
