WhatsApp features Upcoming: Meta-owned WhatsApp is working on a broadcast channel chat on Android, which includes 12 new features. According to WBeta Info, the ability to watch channels is under development and will be available to beta testers in a future update of the app.
After the launch of the channel, the company is working on implementing several channel features to provide a better user experience. The report said that the features include conversations, verification status, follower count, mute notification button, handles, real follower count, shortcuts, channel description, mute notification toggle, visibility status, privacy and reporting.
In addition, the report said that the features also reflect the company’s commitment to ensure that users have a better set of features to discover and use, and make it easier for users to understand and manage channels.
Meanwhile, Whatsapp is working on a new feature on Android called ‘Admin Review’ which will provide tools to group admins to help them manage their groups better. When the feature is enabled, group members will be able to report specific messages to the group admin.
If an admin feels a message is inappropriate or violates group rules, they can choose to delete it from the group when a member reports it.
