100 bus of India will run in Mauritius, PM Modi gave gift

Mauritius is being given 100 electric buses, out of which 10 have reached.

Signing of agreement between India and Mauritius in the field of hydrography

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that IIT Madras and the Indian Institute of Plantation Management have signed agreements with Mauritius University. These agreements will take our partnership in research, education and innovation to new heights. An independent, open, secure, stable and rich Indian Ocean is our shared priority. India is fully committed to strengthening the security and maritime capacity of the Special Economic Zone (EEZ) of Mauritius. India has always stood as the first response and security provider in the Indian Ocean region. Mauritius Coast Guard is being renewed in India. His 120 officers are also being trained in India. Today an agreement has been signed on cooperation in the field of hydrography and for the next five years the joint survey of EEZ, navigation, charts and hydrography data will be cooperated.

A new Directorate of Science and Technology will be established in Mauritius

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that energy security is an important pillar of our partnership. India is assisting Mauritius in its energy change. 100 electric buses are being provided to Mauritius, out of which 10 buses have already reached. The comprehensive partnership agreement in the field of energy will give it more momentum. We have decided to cooperate in the construction of 17.5 MW floating solar power plant in Tamarind Falls. So far more than 5,000 Mauritius citizens have received training in India. During my march visit, it was decided to train 500 civil servants. I am very happy that the first batch is currently training in Mussoorie. Today, we have decided that a new Directorate of Science and Technology will be established in Mauritius, and soon we will also start the training module of Mission Karmayogi in Mauritius.
