Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said on Sunday that a total of 1.69 lakh farmers have registered on the web portal to claim compensation for the loss of 9.96 lakh acres in the state.
The e-safety portal has been kept open to the farmers to facilitate the claims of waterlogging and the recent floods in the claim for crop damage. Through this portal, farmers can upload details of the damage done to their crops and file a claim of compensation.
Saini said that the state government is fully standing with farmers who are facing difficulties due to floods in many parts of Haryana. On Sunday, the Chief Minister flagged off trucks filled with relief material for Punjab and Himachal Pradesh in Panchkula.
Talking to journalists, Saini said that there should be no politics on natural disaster. He said, “Some people do politics. But it is our duty to serve people. ”
In response to a question, Saini said that there is waterlogging in the low -lying areas of Haryana. He said, I met many people yesterday and I am still meeting more people. I have appealed to everyone to face this natural disaster together. Saini said, “1,69,738 farmers have registered 9,96,701 acres of land through e-safety portal. The portal is open. We are with the farmers.
